Terms & Conditions

The terms for booking and joining our courses, retreats, treks and healing programs. Last updated October 2, 2026.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to all courses, retreats, treks and healing programs offered by Shiv Tattva Yog School, Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, Nepal [TO PROVIDE: registered company name and registration number]. By booking a program you agree to these terms, our Refund Policy and our Student Code of Conduct.

2. Bookings and payment

A booking is confirmed once the non-refundable 20% registration fee has been received. [TO PROVIDE: when the remaining balance is due — e.g. on arrival or a number of days before the start date.] Prices are per person in US dollars unless stated otherwise.

3. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations, transfers and refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy.

4. Health and safety

Please inform your teachers of any injuries, medical conditions or limitations before the program starts and practise within your own boundaries. Yoga treks involve walking at altitude; travel and medical insurance is strongly recommended and is not included in program fees.

5. Student Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct aligns with Yoga Alliance standards. Students are asked to:

  • Treat fellow students, instructors and staff with kindness, respect and compassion.
  • Approach practice with honesty, dedication and reverence for the teachings of yoga.
  • Keep the studio and shared spaces clean and peaceful.
  • Arrive on time for classes; if late, enter quietly.
  • Honour the privacy of peers and keep personal discussions confidential.
  • Inform the instructor of any injuries or limitations.
  • Attend classes regularly and inform the instructor ahead of any absence.
  • Refrain from using any intoxicants — the school is a smoke-free, alcohol-free, vegetarian environment.
  • Speak with care and compassion and practise non-violence (ahimsa) and honesty.
  • Raise concerns respectfully so we can keep a healthy learning environment.

6. Certification

Certificates are issued on successful completion of the course requirements, including attendance and practicum assessments.

7. Photos and videos
