Food & Accommodation

Accommodation: Students are provided with a comfortable, clean, and peaceful shared room (double or triple occupancy)/ Personal with attach bathroom. Each room has attached bathrooms with running hot water, beds with clean linens, and storage space. The rooms are designed for rest and introspection, often with views of the garden or mountains.

Food: Your package includes three delicious, freshly prepared Satvik meals per day. Our meals are vegetarian, designed to purify the body and calm the mind. Expect a variety of:

Breakfast: Fresh seasonal fruit, porridge, poha, homemade chapati, herbal teas.

Lunch: The main meal featuring dal (lentils), brown rice, two vegetable dishes, a fresh salad, and sometimes a special Nepali curry.

Dinner: A lighter meal such as soup, kitchari, steamed vegetables, or roti.

All meals are served in our communal dining area. Purified drinking water and herbal tea are available throughout the day.

Detailed Curriculum Breakdown

1. Techniques, Training & Practice (25 Hours):

  • Asana: Deep dive into the alignment, benefits, and variations of approximately 30 fundamental yoga postures. Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar A & B), standing poses, seated poses, simple backbends, and core strengtheners.
  • Pranayama: Introduction to vital energy control through techniques like Kapalabhati (Skull Shining Breath), Nadi Shodhana (Alternate Nostril Breathing), and Ujjayi (Victorious Breath).
  • Meditation: Guided practices in Mindfulness, Mantra Meditation, and Tratak (Candle Gazing).

2. Teaching Methodology (10 Hours):

  • Principles of effective demonstration, observation, and assisting.
  • The art of verbal cueing and using your voice as an instrument of guidance.
  • Structuring a balanced 60-minute Ashtanga/Hatha/Vinyasa class.
  • Finding your authentic teaching voice.

3. Anatomy & Physiology / Sound Healing (5 Hours):

  • Basic musculoskeletal system relevant to yoga.
  • Understanding joints and their safe range of motion.
  • The biomechanics of key poses to prevent injury.
  • Introduction to the energetic body: Chakras and Nadis.

4. Yoga Philosophy & Lifestyle / Meditative Healing (5 Hours):

  • Introduction to the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
  • Exploring the first two limbs: Yamas and Niyamas (ethical guidelines).
  • The concept of Karma Yoga (selfless service) and its application.
  • Living a Satvik (pure, balanced) lifestyle.

5. Practicum (5 Hours):

  • Practice teaching in small, supportive groups.
  • Receiving and giving constructive feedback.
  • Guided practice teaching a short sequence to peers.
